Swarm Removal

Picture
The Beekeepers Association offers free swarm removals. Our non-paid swarm removal team donate their time and equipment to remove and relocate swarms to a safe place. A suggested contribution of AED 150 will go directly to our initiatives for bee sustainability.
Receipts from the Beekeepers Association will be provided for all contributions.

We suggest that you only call pest control as a last resort, as they most often will kill the bees with pesticide
Do's
  • Contact us if you suspect you have a bee swarm
  • Keep children away from the swarm
  • Keep your pets under control
  • Keep your windows closed
  • Scrape the stinger with your fingernail in case of a bee sting
  • Learn more about bee swarms
Don'ts
  • Don’t panic!
  • Don’t disturb the swarm
  • Don’t try to remove the swarm on your own
  • Don’t spray any insect repellent on the swarm
  • Don’t swat the bees or flail your arms if you are attacked, just get away fast
  • Don’t tweeze or pinch the stinger if you got stung. This will only increase the amount of venom into the wound
  • Don’t wait for symptoms to persist, if you are allergic to bee stings or if you have been stung more than 10 times, or feel ill, seek medical attention immediately
